Back to Work (for 4 weeks)

Well the medical time off is over, my back is feeling good, my jaw is a bit strained for not having talked so much in nearly 2 weeks but otherwise everything is going well. I write this at 3:30pm on Monday the 3/11/2025 meaning that for my school there are now 18 more days of teaching until 8 glorious weeks of time off for me where I can go and be my healthiest self, training, competing, and having fun surfing while losing more weight over Christmas.

My first day back was good as well and the more I go doing this the more I realise that eating a diet low in saturated fat is pretty easy. Today I felt a bit peckish and in the communal fridge we had no PUFA Ice-cream so 100g of double choc rich ice cream I felt nourished and ready to tackle my next class on top of eating the rest of my assigned food. I have gone slightly over my a lotted calories for the day but I will be modifying dinner to have slightly less cheese through it.

I have noticed that the metabolism increasing claim has now seemed to have stopped. I imagine that a week of losing weight on 1500kcal might have lowered it but I am finding that weight loss has slowed and going over 3000kcal per day is now a no go if I am now doing a large amount of physical exercise. I hypothesise that the extra calories come from foods where PUFA can be present and I don't have much but the total daily amount may creep from 10-15g. I am eager to see if my metabolism ramps back up now that I aiming for 2600-2900 per day again.

Thank you for taking an interest in my blog. Have a nice day.

Diets I am annoyed with
